  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder check for freshness
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice
  • ½ teaspoon Clove
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Honeycrisp Apples pureed
  • 1 cup Reduced Apple Cider must be reduced thoroughly

For the Frosting

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese at room temperature
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar sifted
  • ¼ cup Bourbon or substitute with vanilla extract

Cake Preparation

  • Preheat Oven: Start by setting your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream Butter and Sugar: In your stand mixer, beat together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  • Add Eggs: Incorporate the eggs one by one, blending well after each addition.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Sift Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
  • Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
  • Fold in Apples and Cider: Gently fold in the pureed apples and reduced cider.
  • Bake: Evenly divide the batter between greased pans and bake for approximately 25 minutes.

Frosting Preparation
