  • 2 cups Bisquick or substitute with homemade biscuit mix using all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt

For the Topping

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips dark or white based on preference
  • ½ cup Coconut can omit for nut-free option
  • ½ cup Chopped Nuts (Pecans) walnuts or almonds can be used as alternatives

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until creamy and light in texture.
  • Gradually add 2 cups of Bisquick, mixing thoroughly until fully incorporated.
  • Lightly grease an 8x8 or 9x13 baking pan and press the dough evenly into the bottom.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-35 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  • Once baked, scatter 1 cup of chocolate chips on top and let them sit for 2-3 minutes to melt.
  • Spread the melted chocolate, then sprinkle ½ cup of coconut and ½ cup of chopped nuts on top.
  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
