Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Glaze

  • 2-4 tablespoon Water Adjust for desired glaze consistency

Instructions

Making the Fritters

  • Sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, salt, and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract until frothy. Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring until you achieve a thick batter. Fold in the cubed apples.
  • Heat about ¼ inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Scoop about ¼ cup of batter into the hot oil, frying 3-4 fritters at a time for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer cooked fritters to a wire rack lined with paper towels.
  • Mix together the powdered sugar and water for the glaze and dip the tops of the cooled fritters.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle with cinnamon or sprinkle with chopped nuts before serving.
