How to Make Apple Cinnamon Sheet Cake

  • Prepare the Crumble Topping: In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cold butter with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly. Set aside.
  • Make the Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt until well mixed.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the buttermilk to the butter-sugar mixture, blending until smooth.
