Instructions

How to Make Vanilla and Pear Frangipane Tart

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking.
  • Wash and slice pears into ¼ inch strips, removing any seeds.
  • Blend all-purpose flour and quick cooking oats in a food processor until finely ground.
  • Add sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the processor; blend until creamy.
  • Roll the puff pastry into a 14x11 inch rectangle and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread the frangipane mixture on the puff pastry, leaving a ¾-inch border.
  • Decoratively place pear slices on top of the frangipane.
  • Bake the tart for 20 minutes until it starts to puff up and turns golden.
  • Heat honey and additional vanilla extract until thin and pourable.
