  • 3 tablespoon Unsalted butter Melt before incorporating.

  • 1 cup Tonic water Contains quinine for the glow effect.

For the Flavor

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional, but recommended.

Instructions

How to Make Glow-in-the-Dark Rice Krispies Treats

  • In a large pot over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until completely liquid.
  • Once the butter is melted, stir in the mini marshmallows until fully melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and pour in the tonic water and vanilla extract, stir until combined.
  • Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  • Add the neon food coloring and stir well until desired color is achieved.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  • Let cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Optional: Add candy eyes or edible glitter on top before serving.
